4. Against the current

Eldar vs Orks

The eldar forces find the Ork whaaagh directly in their path. Not having enough time to go round, they decide to break through.

Eldar Goal: The eldar have to break through the Ork lines and leave the table on the opposite end.

Ork Goal: The Orks haven't had a scrap in a few days. Let's battle.

Forces: 1500 points of Orks vs 1500 points of Eldar.

Battlefield: 6 feet x 4 feet with Dessert terrain.

Deployment: Use the pitched battle deployment rules. The Orks deploy first, the Eldar get the first turn. No seizing the initiative!

Victory condition: The Eldar have to leave the table by the opposite long board edge. The Eldar win if they get at least 750 points off the other board edge. The Orks win if they destroy more than 750 points of Eldar. The battle lasts for 5 turns.

Victory bonus:
If the Eldar win, they get the first turn in chapter 3 and the night fighting rules are not used in chapter 3. If the Orks win they get 10% more points in chapter 3 and chapter 5.

5. Bunker Assault

Iron Warriors vs Imperial Guard & Salamanders

The Iron Warriors suddenly turn north, heading towards Somu Hive with startling speed. Imperial forces rush to intercept them. In the north of the Mitashi region, the imperials occupy a defensive complex of old. Then it's just waiting for the Iron Warriors to arrive.

Imperial Goal: Engage and Destroy
Iron Warriors Goal: Bunker Assault

Forces: 2500 points of Iron Warriors vs 1500 points of Guard and 1000 points of Salamanders. The Iron Warriors have to be led by Lieutenant Claw, and they can have a maximum of 1 vehicle for each fuel dump that survived in chapter 1.

Battlefield: 8 feet x 4 feet battlefield. Temperate climate with forests. Both armies deploy within 12 inch of their table edge. The Imperial forces have 4 bunkers, some fortifications and sections of trench that they can place in their deployment zone.

Deployment: The Imperial Guard and Salamanders deploy first, the Iron Warriors deploy second. The Iron Warriors get the first turn, but the Imperials can try to seize the initiative as normal.

Rainstorm: The weather is horrible, rain is pouring down and the wind is sweeping across the battlefield. At the start of each players turn, that side rolls a D6. On a 5 or 6, the night fighting rules are in effect for that turn as the rain comes down in rivers and the storm blows in. In addition to this, substract 1 from all difficult terrain moves and run moves (if a unit rolls a 1, the unit may not move/run, but still counts as moving/running.)

Victory condition:
The Imperial Forces have to attempt to destroy at least 1600 points of Iron Warriors.
The Iron Warriors have the following goals:
For each bunker destroyed the Iron Warriors get a bonus.

Victory Bonus:
If the Imperial Forces succeed in their goal, the Iron Warriors forces is neutralised and their assault had no significant effect.
For each bunker destroyed the Iron Warriors get 1 advantage, but only if the Imperial Forces do not achieve their goal!
1. The Imperial Guard lose 20% of their points for chapter 4
2. The Salamanders lose 20% of their points for chapter 3
3. The Imperial Guard lose 40% (not cumulative with 1 bunker destroyed) of their forces for chapter 4
4. The Salamanders lose 20% of their forces for chapter 5

Ik ben er dus volgende week niet, dus als er battles gespeeld worden dan moeten jullie zelf er voor zorgen dat je de scenario's uitprint! Er komen deze keer geen mission briefings, want alles staat in de scenario's.
