Magos Technicus Primo,
great news! The Citadel is ours! An army of traitor guard engaged simultaneously, but they were outmaneuvered by our pincer deployment. Because they were dug in when we arrived, we took a beating in the early stages of the conflict. We turned that around when the techmarines managed to activate our early plasma suit prototypes made with the technology recovered from the Canis Belli float. They dropped in from high orbit, and proceeded to rally our troops, and lead them into victory.
We will commence bombarding the other districts with our new missile and artillery superiority. This should lead to substantially decreased opposition, increased the speed at which we can search for the STC.
For the Emperor and the Omnissiah.
Captain Luwak, Steel Confessors Council.
It looked like it was going to be a rough descent. Despite the victories, there was still a significant xenos and traitor presence on the planet. All of them eager to shoot down the command transport of a rival faction.
“Get us straight to the Citadel, pilot”, Captain Luwak ordered. “Unless there’s a missile or enemy aircraft incoming, we can take the occasional AA-fire hit. Make haste.”
“Compliance, activating thrusters”, the pilot responded.
“By the Emperor, what a magnificent view”, Luwak thought to himself.
Down below, the smoke of the battle for the citadel began to clear. Grand fortifications were laid out on the surface. Mighty battlements studded with emplaced heavy defense turrets ringed open courtyards filled with troops. His troops. He couldn’t see the missile silos yet, but he had ordered the techmarines to make those their primary objective. The artillery batteries were already being resupplied and crewed. Blasting the rival factions into oblivion would certainly make his live easier.
Now then, were would he strike next? The insidious Tau had avoided him so far, maybe they knew more about where the STC could be.
“Commander Kona? I have a new job for you.”
