Dave and Johns League update

Yesterday saw an exiting friendly training match between the Kruppstahl Steelers and the all-female Ptolemyan Mega Sports It was an exciting game.

It sure was Dave. While there was very few scoring over the course of the match, it was a tight game with no holds barred. The Steelers were determined to exact revenge on the female sex, following their loss against ABOD two weeks ago.

Exactly John. The Steelers didn’t even seem to see the ball for the first half of the match. They were hammering the ladies like they were in a boxing match instead of Dreadball. Off course, most of it was perfectly legal!

Strange though, Dave, that coach Stautner was willing to play a training against PMS after his bold claims that females couldn’t play DB. I guess the corporation told him to shut up and do better next time!

They must have, and Stautner’s boys sure gave it a shot, but they still lost! Too bad you don’t get points for hitting the opposition, or they would have landslided PMS.

Sure Dave, and don’t forget that last-minute smackdown when that PMS striker was floored and lost the ball, only for Ben ‘Bender’ Rodriguez to catch it and give it back to her, full speed IN THE FACE!

John, I have to admit, I was both elated and horrified by that brutal display of cunning and aggression. I loved that action, but hearing those facial bones crunch on camera turned my stomach a little bit, even after all I’ve seen on the circuit.

Dave, we all know you’re a pussy, so that’s okay. And that’s all we have time for today folks!

Welcome sportsfans to another recap of games by your favourite commentator duo!

Let’s just get to business John. I’m still pissed at you.

Aaalright sportsfans, what have we for you today? It’s Steelers all around!

Yes John, the Steelers had a busy schedule today, playing their second league match AND squeezing in a friendly training match.

Indeed Dave, and again a training match against a female team. I’m starting to wonder if coach Stautner has a thing for watching women get beaten.

Ehm, right John, thanks for bringing that back up. That case was at least ten years ago and Stautner was not convicted and you know it!

I’m sorry folks, it just slipped out.

Anyway John, let’s cover that league match for a minute.

Well Dave, a minute is all it will take. Three rushes was all it took for the Steelers to landslide the TIT’s. What a disappointment!

A disappointment? It was nice to finally see the Steelers showing they can handle the ball for once. A beautiful display of skill and cunning is what I say.

Sure, they played well, but then the Thrashers didn’t really offer them much opposition, now did they? I’m used to the little fella’s dishing out some damage, but the Thrashers must have had a couple of beers to many the night before because that display was just appalling. One jack just fell unconscious after a kick in the leg!

I have to agree with that John, they didn’t really put up much of a fight. The Steeler strikers just swung through their defences and in their own rush the Thrashers didn’t even attempt to pick up the ball!

Nope, they just tried taking some of the opposition off the field. A dangerous strategy if you are 3 points behind!

Well folks, if you missed the game, I suggested watching it on the net. It won’t take much time.

So, let’s talk about that match against the Basin City Dames! That was a drawn out slaughter!

Hell yes John, the Steelers just took those Dames apart! Even that Orx freelancer couldn’t make a difference in the bloodshed that the Steelers were causing. At the end of rush 14 a full 5 Dames were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

And all because of one man: John Dwayneson! What a battering ram is that man! He took out 5 girls over the whole match AND he came up clean after the doping test.

Yes John, I was sure he had used some kind of drugs but if he did it was not detected. Good for him!

But Dave, let’s not forget the most ironic detail.

What’s that John?

The Steelers still LOST TO A BUNCH OF GIRLS! That’s three times in a row!

Yeah John, I think Stautner better watch his mouth before he claims that ‘girls can’t play Dreadball’!

Exactly Dave! And this time it was a clear 5-0 loss, so no argument about girls not being able to play DB!

Yep, the girls scored a total of 12 points over the entire match, so they must have found someone who can play.
